Completed work on the construction of the kitchen

In the Viking village of "Kaup" the work on the installation of the kitchen is overstated. The kitchen is 10 meters long, 6 meters wide and 7 meters high. The kitchen is made entirely of wood according to the technologies of the Viking Age - 9th-11th centuries.

According to the project "Livуhistory - reconstruction of the common history of a thousand years ago" under the Russia-Lithuania Cross-Border Cooperation Program 2014-2020, the installation of a palisade and the construction of an additional entrance group - a gate tower is also planned in the Viking village. The length of the palisade will be 200 meters. The height of the gate tower will be 10 meters.
